In August 2020, the European Forum Alpbach (EFA) was held as scheduled in Austria. Chen Lizhi, a graduate student who was enrolled in 2018 at Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School, stood out among 55 candidates nationwide and was invited to attend the Forum with full scholarship. She was one of the two students of CUPL who participated in this forum.
Established in 1945, the annual European Forum Alpbach is one of the world's most longest lasting forums. It attracts nearly 6000 outstanding participants in various fields from more than 100 countries every year, including political leaders, international management decision makers in all fields and leaders from all walks of life, in total over 200 spokesmen and more than 600 students with scholarship. In China, the Forum is only open to students from 9 universities, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University and China University of Political Science and Law. By the end of this year, seven students from China University of Political Science and Law obtained scholarships and were invited to attend the Forum.
Affected by the pandemic, the forum was held online and ended on September 4th.

The forum is held in Alpebach Village, Austria in August every year for three weeks.
