The Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Chinese Civil Law Approved by the Ministry of Education As One of the First-Batch Pilots

Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education announced the list of the first batch of virtual teaching and research offices pilots. The virtual teaching and research office of  Chinese civil law recommended by China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) has been approved as one of the pilots in the first batch.

The virtual teaching and research office of Chinese civil law is headed by Prof. Li Yongjun. There are 30 teachers from multiple colleges and universities specializing in civil law in the team. The virtual teaching and research office is established on the basis of the Civil Law Institute, Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School, CUPL. Through collaboration with many universities, scientific research institutions and practitioners, the virtual teaching and research office applies modern information technology to establish a mixed online and offline teaching and research model. The goals of the virtual office are to build itself into a world-class teaching and research institution and to promote the coordinated development of legal education in the east and west region.



The ministry of education has prioritized the fundamental task of cultivating moral integrity for the pilot program. The core is to improve the ability of talent cultivation. Specific tasks for the pilots include: exploring new-types of teaching institutes, guiding teachers to be devoted to, passionate about, and dedicated to teaching, as well as providing a strong support for high-quality development of higher education.
